Nuage solide is a floating progressive sculpture. The cloud constantly glides in a protective and bubble-made enveloppe. It is living according to outside conditions. When the temperature rises the drops evaporate and settle on the side of the bubbles. The temperature changes the opacity of the cloud and the enlightenment changes colors and contrasts.
Nuage solide is an installation that emphases and underlines the constant modulation of the air and the light around us we most often don't pay attention.
TO SCULPT THE INFORMAL MATTER OF WATER : A SOLID CLOUD
The cloud is an interesting figure that evokes evaporation, and more largely the cycle of water. It is an immaterial and impalpable matter that reveal climatic conditions. It lives closely between three states : gaseous, solid and liquid. Because of his infinite and indeterminate metamorphosis, clouds are visible signs of the climate. This soft material is never achieved but in a constant achievement. In this installation, the cloud constantly glides in a protective and bubble-made enveloppe. This mould-for-water is constituted of plexiglas semispheres in which are locked drops of water. When the temperature rises the drops evaporate and settle on the side of the bubbles. The cloud is "moulded" by way of the condensation which offers him a diaphanous matter.
